Ferrari unveils the 296 GT Modificata
A 730 cv GT built exclusively for the track

Ferrari digitally unveiled the 296 GT Modificata on 13 September at Ferrari Racing Days in Budapest, Hungary. Based on the 296 GT3 Evo, the two-seater was developed for Club Competizioni GT, Ferrari’s non-competitive customer track programme. It is intended exclusively for circuit driving.
Its 2,992 cc twin-turbo V6 has cylinder banks set 120 degrees apart. Maximum output is 730 cv (537 kW) at 7,500 rpm, with 800 Nm at 5,000 rpm. Ferrari revised engine internals, the intake system, intercoolers and turbochargers. A six-speed sequential gearbox uses new ratios and a carbon clutch. Quoted dry weight is 1,330 kg.
Aerodynamics and cooling have also been revised. A slotted front splitter manages airflow beneath the car, accompanied by a dedicated bonnet. The new rear wing features a central support and structural endplates. Revised front brake discs, an additional air intake and cooling ducts address repeated braking on track.
A passenger seat, dedicated footrest and intercom allow a coach to provide feedback while the car is on track. Standard data-acquisition and video-recording equipment support analysis after each session, helping drivers develop their technique.
Purchase includes two years or 12 rounds of Club Competizioni GT participation. Ferrari describes production as extremely limited, but the announcement materials reviewed specify neither a production total nor a price. The track-only model succeeds the 488 GT Modificata unveiled in 2020.
