We visited the first Porsche Vibe Seoul. Display cars brought from Germany and elsewhere abroad stood alongside collections cherished by Korean owners. Porsches from different eras, each with its own story, brought the marque’s history into conversation with the car culture of today.

Rare cars were only part of the attraction. Visitors paused over details, conversations began with a shared taste, and owners took pride in sharing the cars they love. Porsche provided the meeting point; the people gave the gathering its atmosphere.

The classic Porsches at the centre of the venue held our attention longest. These were cars belonging to full members of ACP Club, Korea’s air-cooled Porsche community with a 20-year history. The 993 Turbo S, 964 Speedster, 993 Turbo and 930 Turbo formed a collection seldom encountered together, each expressing a different side of the air-cooled era.

Wide arches, distinctive rear spoilers and the subtle changes in proportions between generations invited a closer look. Their appeal cannot be reduced to a specification sheet. Each car carries both a design identity and the years its owner has spent caring for it. Seeing Korean collections hold their own alongside visiting exhibits was particularly meaningful: local Porsche culture has acquired depth through sustained affection and stewardship.

Moving from racing heritage to modern Porsches revealed a sensibility that connects the generations. Shapes and technology have changed, yet the pleasure extends well beyond ownership. Those drawn to classics and those captivated by contemporary sports cars were finding their own Porsche in the same space.

Performances by singers added another dimension to the gathering. Owners and fans could spend time looking at cars, taking photographs and enjoying music. You did not need specialist knowledge—or a Porsche in your garage—to share in the occasion.

The first Porsche Vibe Seoul is an event we will remember fondly. The rare cars were a delight, but the passion of the people around them left the strongest impression. What remains after leaving a show is the combination of cars, people and the atmosphere they create together. Different eras of Porsche came together to make one shared vibe in Seoul.
